Q: Hello 5i, I am looking at Global X DAX ETF and Vanguard FTSE Europe all cap index VE to diversify my portfolio? Could provide an analysis and recommendations for both? Thank you in advance!

5i Research Answer:

VE aims to provide investors with exposure to the developed European markets. It has an MER of 0.22%, a yield of 2.7%, an AUM of $236M, and 1,317 holdings.

DAX aims to provide investors with exposure to the German DAX index. It has an AUM of $173M, an MER of 0.20%, a yield of 1.7%, and 41 holdings.

While DAX is a much more concentrated ETF, VE has slightly outperformed DAX over a long-term timeframe. Between the two, we might give VE's higher diversification and strong returns the slight edge today.
