The pipeline will serve mostly to narrow the price differential between different types of oil, rather than specific companies. But heavy oil companies such as MEG, ATH and BTE could see some incremental benefit. ENB's pipes are typically full and we would not see it impacted much. A sale remains possible, and it would take a very large company such as PPL or ENB or a US player (if allowed). However keep in mind that it was for sale before and the government was the only buyer at the time.
