Q: I was pleased with the recent quarterly results and you say you are "comfortable" with them. So, why is the stock dropping so much today?

5i Research Answer:

BIP.UN is up 3% this year, not including the dividend, about the same as the TSX's move YTD. Stocks do not always go up on good results, and can vary with the market, interest rates, inflation and other factors. We would not consider a 2.6% drop overly noteworthy on low volume. US interest rates have also ticked up this week.
