Q: Hello, noticed today the dividend payers were sold off due to "concern of interest rates rising sooner than expected" . This was the explanation I heard but I can't share the view that rate hikes are imminent in any way. Having said that, bonds also seem to be selling off and I am not one to argue with the market. My question is if there is a fear of interest rate hikes coming would this put pressure on a stock like CGI which is carrying a high debt load? Thank you.

I think I made a mistake and purchased Gib in US funds. The Canadian GIB.A is trading @.42 higher.I wanted to increase my US holdings and as there is no div., it seemed like a good idea.Would you syuggest and sell in the US and buy in Canadian funds.Thank you Phyl in BC
