Q: Hi Peter, and 5iResearch Team,
Would XLE, Energy Select Sector SPDR fund be the best way to invest long term in the US Energy Sector. Is the valuation of this sector still reasonable. It seems that US oil companies have a significant edge now and I think the US Dollar fundamentals may prove to be better than the Canadian dollar? Your thoughts?

Q: I recently purchased Fiera (FSZ) but it has been on a fairly steady decline for the past month. Are you still comfortable with your rating, and might this be a good chance to pick up some extra shares 'on sale'?

Q: What do you think of CA Inc? It seems to trade at a good multiple, have reasonable debt levels and pays a good dividend. However technically its been looking weak since I bought it and earnings growth seems to be slowing, although this could be temporary problem. Would you regard it as a sell? Are there better places to put my money in the same space?

Q: EQI Equity Financial just reported the results from their AGM. Looks like we all voted with Smoothwater and now S. Griggs is the new COB. Can you sum up where you see this puts the stock at this time and set up what the future may look like?

Q: Trican (TCW) closed at a multi-year high on Friday. I have held this stock for over 2 years and am still down from my purchase price. Although I know most people shouldn't sell just because a stock has risen, I have seen it fall back down multiple times after hitting the $15-$16 range. Obviously it's been quite frustrating, and I wonder if I should exit now or continue being patient with it.

The stock went through a 3 for 1 reverse stock split today. In your experience what is the reason reverse splits happen and what effect do they have moving forward? And are there any additional comments you have to add since your last on May 16?

Q: Hello to all ...I am trying to balance out growth portfolio , I have 21 stocks with IPL being not in the portfolio. Would you sell IPL and add to either CGX or CSS. Thanks for all you do.

Q: Hi,

Assuming a well diversified portfolio consists of 20-25 equity names. Would you take the total value of your portfolio and split them equally over the 25 names, which in my case would mean have 15 stocks in my taxable cash account, 2 stocks in my TFSA and 8 stocks in my RRSP or should you split your RRSP and Taxable accounts and come up with different portfolios for both. I know that you add quite a few stocks, but it seems difficult to decide on which stocks in your portfolios to assign to your RRSP and in my case my RRSP returns would be dependent on only 8 stocks.

Q: Hello 5i!
I would like to get your opinion on Omega Protein Corp (OME:US) on the NYSE. The company trades near book value, a trailing P/E of 8, and appears to be growing quite nicely. Why is this stock so cheap? Would you recommend it for a 6-12 month position?
