Q: Hi Team,
Are your current views on Home Capital still positive. Has the short, and media hype surrounding the short done playing out?
I bought some at $58 and was thinking of adding to it now at $53.
Do you think we've seen the end of the slide?
I'm in it for the long term, but there's nothing more depressing than a 10% drop just after you get in.

Q: Hi Peter and team. Do you have any comments on the sharp drop in Home Capital (HCG) at the end of trading. It seems it is a result of negative comment by Steven Eisman at the Ira Sohn investment conference in New York. He identified HCG as his short choice. My timing was exquisitely bad is I made a purchase five minutes before it started to roll of shortly after 3:00 pm.

Q: There was an article in the paper today suggesting that Home Capital Group be shorted. The thesis is that the housing sector in Canada will be weak going forward and HCG will suffer. I just bought some after looking at it, and seeing positive comments from you and Jason Donville. I was also planning to purchase more in the next couple of weeks. Should I question my timing on this?

Q: Hi Peter, my question is on Home Capital. I have held for a considerable time, and have learned to live with the low multiple the market applies to this exceptional company. My question has to do with the big banks slowly discontinuing the broker channel for mortgages, does this help, hinder or is it indifferent to HCG? As well, how ugly would the CND housing market have to get for them to miss significantly their $7+ earnings estimate? At 7.5x TY EPS, it really seems like an opportunity.

Q: Home Capital (HCG) took a bit of a hit last week after the Fitch rating announcement. What is your view on Home Capital now. Also, I am confused that you have Home Capital in your model portfolio, but I could not find it in your coverage universe nor could I find your research report on HCG. How do stocks get into your model portfolio?

Q: HCG Group: Will the tightening of mortgage restrictions announced by Flaherty favourably impact HCG and would now be as good a time as any to establish a position in HCG?

I've been a fan of yours for years, owned your Sprott Fund until you closed it. I appreciate what you are doing for Canadian investors.
