Q: Assisted Living Concepts is being acquired at 12.00 but the shares are trading down today; currently at 11.57. Do you have any idea why? Thank you.

Q: I have app. 10% of my portfolio in ZRE. It has taken quite a hit recently. What do you see ahead for this sector? I am thinking of selling some of it and putting it into the US index fund VFV. Right now my asset allocation is 30% CA dividend stocks, 10% REITS, 10% EAFE, 10% High Yield Bonds (CHB) and 30% US (VUS and VFV), 10% CASH.

Q: Peter - can I please have your thoughts on BHP Biliton and Royal Dutch Shell? I like the yield and they both are priced close to 52-week lows. I am looking at a 5% position in both. Thank You.
