Q: JDSU Getting tired of holding. Am down 20 per cent in two separate accounts. Street did not like earnings. Starting to think it was a huge mistake buying this for a turnaround. Lots of cash but no catalyst except for possibility of a takeover. Are they in the same space as INVN Invensense? Thinking of switching to INVN. Does that make sense to you?

Q: Asked for high yielding american companies earlier and one suggestion was SFL on the NYSE. I was considering NFSHF on pink sheets. How about it, and do you think there is any chance of an off shore oil renaissance.
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
What are your thoughts on Blue Capital Reinsurance Holdings, BRCH.US

Q: Lorillard & Reynolds American (LO, RAI) are in a potential merger although by no means certain due to regulatory risks. With good cash flows and dividends would you feel either is of interest now or if the deal doesn't close?
Q: WAG.US: thinking of buying for my USD portfolio. Price been coming down-missed EPS & large purchase in U.K. perhaps. Looking for long-term non-cyclical hold. Already own (for over 5yr) J&J-would love to add to this position but it just keeps going up-so, thought this might be an opportunity to compliment this holding?
Q: What do you think of Icahn Enterprises (IEP.US) for a long-term hold. It pays a good dividend and has a proven track record behind it. Would it be very cyclical or is it a little more all-weather depending on the takeovers it initiates? Thanks
Q: Hello,
I was wondering for a TFSA (40K) for maximum growth what stocks would you propose. I don't envision needing the funds in the next few years (I have the model portfolio in a non taxable account).
I know that you specialize in Canadian equities, but if you would have to select a few US growth stocks (30k taxable account) what would you select.
Thank you so much.

Q: Thanks to your recommendation some time ago I have made over 700% profit on Autocanada and am considering selling the shares I have left to buy either KKR-N or BX-N. What can you tell me about these 2 stocks. Am considering this trade for better income and some capital gains.
Many thanks for all the great information you provide. Helen

Q: Do you think TRW.US is worth holding weather the takeover goes through or not. I'm looking for more growth in my RRSP. My thoughts are to sell and buy DIS or UA as these stocks seem to be growing well. Or just hold my position. Your thoughts. Thank you for the great service.
Q: Could I have your opinion on Tesla please.

Q: I have owned JAZZ off and on for a year+ but it seems quite volatile. Should I keep holding or would you suggest something else more to your liking. Canadian or U.S Thanks much.
Q: Do you have any thoughts on Mobileye (MBLY)which did an IPO earlier this week with shares jumping from $23 to $34.50 yesterday (Thursday)? The company seems to have developed the ideal product for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), i.e. the technology currently being adopted by many car manufacturers to help drivers avoid accidents (lane departure warnings, automatic braking systems to avoid imminent collisions, alerts of pedestrians, etc.). You may have access to information that I cannot find via a Google search on the Internet namely, is the company really the leader in this field? Are there competitors that are well positioned to overtake it? Feel free to provide any other comments about the company that would help me decide whether or not to buy, or perhaps to wait for a pullback.
Thanks,
Robert

Q: I'm holding PHK (US) in my TFSA to get US dollars for travelling. Given interest rates will probably rise am I wise to hold or look at another high yielding US stock. If so what would you suggest? I'm not necessarily looking for growth. Also if I hang on to PHK how do you think it will react over a time period if rates only rise fractionally? As always, great answers to (my dumb) questions. Bob

Q: I own shares in Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation (CTSH) and quite like the Company. Today they reported the results for their last quarter. Earnings exceeded expectations and they showed nice revenue growth. Forward guidance was not, however, well received and the stock dropped over 12% today. This seems to be an overreaction. What are your thoughts on the Company's future relative to today's stock price?
Thank you.
Don

Q: re: TWX Time Warner
as per your advice I sold 50% (% was my decision) of my position @$84 as we all know the takeover game has it challenges. Today the price is down 12.5% to $74.52.
In reading a number of reports some are saying TWX isn't open to any further discussions at this time. Others are saying TWX isn't doing it's shareholders any favors but not having any talks with Fox. And then I find two other articles saying the deal isn't dead and that $93 is where they are looking.
What have you heard and what do you feel is the likelihood of the Fox takeover happening based on recent news? And what would be your advice re TWX moving forward?
Thanks for all you do
Gord
