Q: hello 5i:
the Glentel sale is interesting, and good for those who hold shares. What effect, positive or negative, would the acquisition have on BCE shares (I hold BCE and have for many years). Is this an astute acquisition? Did BCE overpay?
thanks

Q: Over the past months, I thought I'd give your plan a whirl of buying strength and forego using Stops with names you really liked in your Questions/Answers section. **HUGE** mistake! My portfolio is down 25%. Hindsight demonstrates the only way to stay out of trouble with your service, was to invest in your ENTIRE portfolio and completely ignore your Q&A on any companies outside your model portfolio. Cherry picking names from your Q&A section has proved very painful indeed. Expensive lesson learned!

Q: Hi there

I own Onex through the common stock (OCX) and their Onex Credit Partners (OCS.UN) which I have been treating more or less like a debenture/bond issue. I was attracted to the high yield and the backing of Onex on Onex Credit Partners. I am up considerably on the Onex equity over the years, but lately Onex Credit Partners has been falling quite a bit - down to $8.48 from $9.50 in August. I am curious why this might be occurring in a stable interest rate environment and with Onex doing very well.

Love your service.

Q: Thanks to 5i for the amazing help you provide to your members.
This question is similar to John's, what do you think of Delta Airline since the low oil prices will impact positively its bottom line. Which do you prefer WJA or DAL ?

Q: The globe and mail lists a p/e on loblaw of over 2,000?.. Is is that overvalued? It is one of a few of my winners in my portfolio. Is it time to trim? I like the shoppers acquisition and the expansion of joe fresh but I have watched all my profits in other stocks disappear and wonder if the same will happen to loblaw with that kind of p/e.

Q: I fortuitously sold Suncor back in June but am now wanting to buy back into oil and gas in my wife's TFSA account. I have badger (bad) and Superior Propane (spb) in another rsp account but this would be more of a direct investment in the beleagured oil and gas industry. I have 10 000 dollars of room to invest with a long term window and was wondering which two of sgy,su,spe,or su you would recommend. Do I go back into the rock solid dependable Suncor or seek more growth with the likes of a Surge or Spartan or ???? Thanks

Q: Hi guys,

With the latest news from OPEC and the steep declines in oil prices, can you provide a few names that you think will benefit most from lower oil prices that we should have exposure to?

Also, I know natural gas stocks and oil stocks get lumped together and that sentiment is very bad right now, but some natural gas stocks are getting hammered with gas over $4. Doesn't seem reasonable.

Q: Hello Peter & Co.
Comparing the above 2, WSP has outperformed STN in 2014 ytd; but STN was the better performer in the longer term.
Could the underperformance of STN this year partly be due to its greater exposure to the energy sector?
Thanks,
Tony

Q: Good morning,
I own an equal amount of each of these stocks which have all dropped in the past year. Reading your answers, I plan to ride them out.
1) If I were to add to them, would you recommend an equal amount or would you favour one over the others?
2) Would I be better to leave them alone and add STN, AEM and TOU?
Long term holder. Thanks for your calm advice

Q: In addition to your comment, I have a rule to follow very strictly my orders. At the open, it is open season for your trade if you do not want to control it. A good placement requires a little effort, also be aware that most "professional" traders enter the market around 10h30 to avoid the fog of your type of trade at the open... At the office you can use your phone to place a trade, better in my view.
