Q: About a year ago your position on FAP was negative for several reasons (high management fee plus currency risk) and you suggested BCE, WCP, ENF, or COS would be suitable to replacements in one's portfolio. I do own the company and must admit the dividend is what's kept me invested. Do you still feel negatively towards FAP and it so, would you maintain your list of replacements or change/add to them in any way. As always, thanks for your guidance.

Q: At a 14.8 percent dividend yield, this looks like a fantastic stock. What would be the negatives in owning this stock? I am in my late 40's and don't need the dip into it for at least another 15 years or so.

Q: I hold this fund in my RRSP, it represents 10% of the account and about 2% of a well diversified overall portfolio. Its value has been going down and is now about 11% underwater. Would you recommend continuing to hold or take the loss and reinvest in something more productive?

Q: When a closed end fund trading as a stock is selling at a substantial discount to NAV, is there anything shareholders can do to force the company to liquidate and return capital to shareholders?

Q: Can you please provide an opinion on this stock? Their web site says their objective is to "(i) pay monthly distributions to unitholders on a tax-advantaged basis and (ii) maximize total after-tax returns for unitholders over the life of the Fund.", but all the income is flagged as a 100% return of capital. How is this done?

Q: Hi,

This fund's NAV has always been in the 9.5 range while this ETF has traded as high as 11.00 dollars recently and has a yield of around 7%. They also did a secondary offering recently at 10.10. What do you think about this ETF for income and why would it be trading at a premium which was as high as 16% at one time.

Q: Hi 5i can you give me some understanding of this company. according to TD Web it trades at a PE of 5,div of 15.6% with earnings of 1.91/share - it has traded in the $9-$10 range for some time. for income investors what are the risks - rising interest rates? payout ratio of 89% too high or D/C of 60% too risky - maybe no growth or are they just returning my capital would appreciate your knowledgeable views thanks Paul

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Fairfax has launched a fund for India. Is it too early for you to venture an opinion if this would be a good long-term investment. For the record I am retired and is it something I should avoid?

Thanks....
