Q: hi, I thought I read something yesterday about improper sales accounting from some shopify employees? apparently they have been fired and "the case is closed". surprised nothing in the major financial propaganda sites this am, and no questions here. what are your thoughts on this?

A sales team was fired, but the issue was that employees were misrepresenting to their managers what they has sold, in an effort to boost their commissions/bonuses. Customers were not impacted in any way and the company noted there was no impact to financial results. It is a non-issue now with the offenders fired (for cause, most likely).
