Also anything you learn { future plans } from the conference call on August 1st....... Thanks for your terrific service ....
FIH.U has no analysts and thus no estimates to beat. Earnings in the Q2 were $278M, or $2.06 per share, up from $254M and $1.88 per share in the same quarter of last year. Book value rose 10.4% to $21.43. Unrealized gains were $331M, with IIFL Capital and IIFL Finance at more than $100M each. Fairchem was $11.4M and Seven Islands $3.5M. FIH bought back 28,758 shares in the quarter at a $15.19 average. Cash is $107M. The company did not provide details on segments and no conference call took place. We would not expect material tariff impact on its divisions. Book value was $10.25 in 2016 and has grown fairly steadily since then, except for a dip in 2018 and 2020, with the latter Covid-related. There was also a small dip in 2024 but it has doubled+ in 10 years.
