Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation (LIF $27.58)
-
Champion Iron Limited Ordinary Shares (CIA $4.48)
Q: Is this a good time to buy either of these iron companies?
5i Research Answer:
The iron ore market is of course economically sensitive, and the tariff uncertainty adds some more current risks. China's growth rate (not great) is also a factor here. Both are small companies, which adds more risk. We would prefer LIF. Both stocks are down on the year, so some of the risk is reflected. We would not consider it a 'great' time to buy but would be fine owning LIF for income through the cycle.
