Q: I am considering selling off my shares of BEPC and using proceeds to buy BN. I know BEPC has a larger dividend - will BN's growth be able to overcome the loss in dividends?

5i Research Answer:

We think it will, in a 'normal' market environment. BN does have solid growth potential and we think it will do better longer term. In a weak market, though BEPC's consistency of cash flow and stable business could make it more attractive in a period of time. But overall we would prefer BN, which also still has exposure through its 26% ownership of BEP.
