Q: It is difficult for a "non-expert" to invest and follow large tech stocks ,plus the fact that the choice is very limited in CDA in my view .Do you believe that CSU is the safest and most promising "large Canadian tech stock" , if yes ,what would be a great entry point, if not ,any other choice ?

5i Research Answer:

CSU we think would be the most reliable and likely safest pick, but due to its large size ($105B) it may not have the same ability to grow as quickly as other, smaller companies might have. Still, for a single position in the sector we would still see it as the best overall choice in the range of $4,800 to $4,850. It is a difficult stock to pick a perfect price, and many investors who 'waited for a good entry point' have been waiting a long time. It is a stock we would decide to own, or not, and not be too concerned about the entry price of a stock that was $300 nine years ago and is now near $5,000.
