Revenue rose only 1% to $4.1B, but results beat estimates. Profit was $792M or 82c per share, vs $838M or 82c last year, but ahead of estimates of $755M/79c. The US was a bit weaker with lower cigarette sales and with a tough comparison quarter. ATD announced plans to build 500 new stores in the next five years. The Total Energy acquisition is now cleared to close before year end. Good results but nothing of any material note here.
