5i Research Answer:
We like high-interest savings ETFs for this purpose. We like the CASH ETF, it has $3.7B in AUM, a 0.11% MER, and a 5.39% yield. We also like the HSAV ETF, which does not pay distributions directly, but rather reinvests the interest earned back into the NAV of the ETF. It has an AUM of $2.2B, an MER of 0.2%, and a yield of 5.5%. This ETF has more tax efficiency as the ETF unit price will grow, creating capital gains rather than distribution payments.
