Q: In regards to AFOP...Mr Reese was commenting on Alliance Fibre Optic Products (and gave the call sign AFOP). It trades on the Nasdaq. Any thoughts? Its numbers look good to me.
Q: I lost a lot of money on Apple when it fell from $640 but I sold at $540 and bought back in at $490 on the way back up. I think it is a GREAT company with solid earnings growth and a low P/E but the market has a hard time giving it the same kind of respect that it gives Google, Amazon, Twitter etc.
What do you think about the stock for the next year and what would make you sell it?
Thanks,
Ken
Q: please advice, do u think google is a good investment due to the fact they bought boston dynamics and many more robotic companies i'm sure u know boston dynamics has a contract with us military. thanku all at 5i for your hard work on answering all these questions
I currently own VIG,FEZ,QQQ,IWO and BRK.B in my US portfolio each about 6%.
Going into 2014 and with the expectation of tappering and rise in interest rates. Are these ETF's ok to hold for the next year or two and is it ok to bump up my holdings to 10% in each?
I own SLW for insurance as well.
Q: As a followup to Morgan's question re Mastercard; now that it has declared a 10 for 1 stock split and will buy back $3.5 billion worth of its shares would you have a different opinion of this stock?
Q: My question is on Abbott Labs and Abbvie. I had 300 shares of Abbott and they split. Now I have 300 of Abbott and 300 of Abbvie. Should I hold both sell both or keep one over the other. I know that Humira comes off of patton in 2016 in US and 2017 in Europe. Should I sell Abbvie before then?
Q: Assumption: The U.S. equity market continues to remain healthy & positive overall for the next 12 months. The question is what, in your opinion, is the best way to buy the US equity market from a Cdn.registered acct. relative to the current surcharge(incl.fees & exchange)of nearly 7.5%.
Thanks for a great year.
Q: I have traded XIV several times over the last 2 years and done quite well. While it has some violent swings the trend over the last 2 years in up. What is the risk to holding this for several years?
Q: Hi Peter and Team: You recently answered a question for me about Zimmer Holdings (which I am considering) - thanks for that. Are there any other companies in the health care sector that you might particularly recommend? - I have none in the sector right now.
