Q: After the verdict against the company today, and the potential liability of $1 billion, do you think it is wise to hold on or cut my losses first thing tomorrow morning? I am already underwater 20% as of close
Q: Do you have any preferences/comments for the cybersecurity space looking at medium term growth (ie 5 to 10 years)? The leading names appear to be in the US (ie Intel, Cisco, IBM) and then there are the most recent names - PANW and FEY-Q.
thank you,
Janice

Q: The recent pullback has resulted in a 28 per cent drop following robust growth in the past year or so. I am pondering another purchase at these attractive levels, but would appreciate your input prior to doing so. Many thanks for the team's insight.
Q: Hi, What do you think of Pfizer? I have a partial position in my dividend fund RSP. Do I top it up or is there a better company in the sector? Jeff
Q: I have had a half position in Molson Coors for about a year and have done very well. With this pull back should I buy the other half, or is there a better company in the sector? This is in my growth portfolio. Jeff
Q: Following up on your comment to Gord today: "It is very unlikely that 5i will report on US stocks. One problem is simply finding staff with experience in the US markets that are willing to commit to no trading", would you be open to the idea of creating a US stock research section where the analysts allowed to hold U.S. securities but must fully disclose them?
I'm pretty sure most 5i Research members are astute enough to discern the difference between objective commentary and biased, self-serving opinion. Moreover, you could institute very strict guidelines for making stock recommendations that would address possible biases.
I have made a lot of effort in the past few years to diversify worldwide (U.S. 40%, Europe 20%) but it's awfully hard to find good, objective information on foreign companies.

Q: 5I Team,
I would appreciate getting your view on North Atlantic Drilling Ltd (NADL). The share price has really been hammered in the recent correction and I'm wondering if now is a good entry point and whether the yield is too high to be sustainable.
Thanks,
Scott

Q: More of a comment,
Latest report for CSX was excellent on all accounts and the share price has reflected as such. Dividend is strong and increasing, EV/EVBITDA ration is very low @ just over 9, and the company is looking at very good earnings growth prospects.
I think this is a stock that has a very bright future moving forward and would like to know if you agree. And was wondering if there may ever be a time when 5i might do a company report on a U$ equity?
Thought the rest of the 5i members might want to know more about a stock I think has a bright future.
Thanks for all you do
Gord

Q: Hello 5i team,
I hold the model portfolio plus about another 10 stocks. In regards to Ambev which is trading near it 52 week low. Do you see much growth in Ambev over the next 2 years? I am down about 12%. I am debating on on averaging down OR selling it and adding that $US money to my Unilever holding and VXUS holding which have both been hit hard recently. Or I have the cash and can add to all 3 of those $US holdings (in-addition to other holdings in the model portfolio). Thank you for your advice.

Q: Hello Team,
Can we please get your outlook on the tanker/shipping industry, specifically DHT Holdings and Tsakos Energy (recommended at Canaccord). Frontline (FRO) had a good bounce from the March 2009 lows and I am wondering if that kind of reaction can be expected from these two names. What do you think of their debt levels and prospects. Finally, from a sector weighting point of view, would they be associated to the energy sector.
Thanks,
BK

Q: How does this look to you at this time? I will have some money to invest about mid-November and have presently very little US exposure.
Q: Hi Team,
I have held off buying Apple, Blackrock and Google for the past month or so...a good decision in light of the recent sell-off. Do you think it would be a decent time now to lag into positions of all 3? Or if you had to pick just 2 or 1 which one would you choose.
Thanks

Q: With the entry of HBO and less subscribers do you think that NFLX would now be a sell

Q: Hello Peter,
What is your opinion today about the strength of the US economy? Do you still think the downturn will be over in a few weeks?
Thank you for your honesty, your integrity and your support.

Are Abbott Laboratories (ABT) and Abbvie (ABBV) attractive companies at their current stock price? Which one would you prefer for growth?
Many thanks for your answer!

Q: Is there a point at which you advise against putting new Cdn money into a US$ investment? Given the strength of the greenback, a US investment would have to earn 12% or more just to break even with a comparable Canadian investment. I remember one advisor suggesting that they stop putting new money into the US when the Cdn $ drops below 85 cents so we are long past that point. I do have about 15 - 20% of my portfolio in US$ already, if that matters.
Thanks for the sage advice.
Paul F.

Q: Hello- Lyondell has been really hammered in the last day or two-
apparently their margins may be compressed and their CEO is leaving- is the stock reaction overdone? Would you buy here?
