Q: I have held GLW for some time now and am up around 80%. I was wondering your thoughts on the company and if you see anymore upside. Do you see any reason to keep my position or suggest moving out of the name?

Q: Hello team,

In order to diversify the portfolio I am looking for some investments in biotech. Since Google recently declared the project for early cancer diagnostics based on nanotech I trust it could be fast growing area (risks are high of course...I understand). At the same time regardless of Google declarations (which might positively affect stock of nanotech companies) their stock behaves consistently bad. Three companies I took are just the example. So stock behavior varies from catastrophic with NSPH to just not good with BIND. Do you have any ideas - is it company related issue or it is trend which shows that market "doesn't believe"?

Q: I am looking for diversification away from the Canadian market; many sectors have obvious choices whereas others do not. In Industrials, would you recommend Precision Castparts (PCP), Colfax (CFX) or another name? In healthcare, would you recommend something like JNJ even though it is enormous or have valuations in this sector been stretched? JNJ gives you some consumer staples exposure. My time horizon is 20 years. Again, I am looking for diversification away from what we have access to in Canada. Thanks for the great help!

Q: CBM one I have seen you mention before pulled back sharply on Friday and has since recovered somewhat by the end of the day up to $37.00. Super Micro has dropped about 35% since January. Seeking Alpha has said that this is a buy at the $30.00 range. What is your opinion on these two US stocks? Dennis

Q: Canadian Solar is trading on the US stock exchange and, to my knowledge, is not trading in Canada although a Canadian Company. I would be interested in your assessment of this Company. With the demand for solar expanding and the cost of solar panels dropping it would seem like a good long term investment. What do you think.

Q: I am thinking of selling MTSN as I have lost nearly 31% of my invesment on this stock. I am think of replacing it something which would not be as bad as this one. What would you suggest buying to recuperate this loss in the US small cap space which has good growth potential.

Q: Hi there,

I have been looking for an entry point for this technology player and am wondering if you think this is a good entry point. I show 25X this year's earnings - but it is off from its high and i have struggled with its valuation but the stock has always been pricey compared to its canadian counterparts. Do you think there is more downside here and a better entry point or worth stepping in now.

Q: Do you still expect modest growth from PFE into 2016? What might the impact of the strong US$ be on earnings and results? I have held it for several years for the dividend mainly. I would like to buy WSP instead and know this is apples to almonds, still....your opinion please and thank you.

Q: Can you please give me advice on how to purchase us stocks in the most cost efficient manner.

I do not have very much in consumer staples and would look toward the US side to diversify.

I would consider purchasing proctor and gamble for example and 1000 shares would be > 80 000 $ US.

I have the funds in canadian dollars. I presently self manage my portfolio through BMO investor line.

how would you recommend proceeding with such a purchase in the most cost / fee efficient manner.

would you recommend an ETF in the consumer staples sector instead ?

thank you

Ernie
