Q: I received notice that Blackrock is terminating the XLA ETF. I'm under water on this one, but always thought of it as geographic diversification with a long term view. I'm wondering why they would terminate the fund and if I'm better off selling or waiting for liquidation in August. Finally, could you recommend a few reasonable replacements (hedged or un-hedged). Thanks. I love the service you that you guys offer.

Q: Hello Peter and team,
I was wondering which index fund you guys would recommend for the most growth over the next 20 years. I am looking at either adding XSU or VGG. I know historically small caps outperform over the longer time frame. But I would assume given enough data that dividend growers would also outperform the market and possibley the small cap index? This position is being added for U.S exposure and I will be dollar cost averaging by contributing every qaurter. Your thoughts please.
Thanks

Q: I would like to get more exposure to Europe for the long-term (5+ years). Do you think it is a good idea at this time given the Greek mess or should I wait a bit? Is there a good ETF or two that you could recommend/is that a good way to get exposure to Europe? The only one I know of is the SPDR EURO STOXX 50 ETF
(FEZ). Do you like that one?
Thank you!

Q: What are the reasons for those shares to rise today?
Q: Hello 5i
Could I have your general impression of the following ETFs for income
Global X Super Div (SDIV) and Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield UCITS ETF (VHYL.LN)
Thanks

Q: Within my RSP, I am looking for one or two ETF’s (CAD hedged) that will give me exposure to many of the large US consumer company dividend payers(JNJ, PG, PEP, KRFT…) . Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Q: Bought a 5% position about 3 months ago and not happy so far. Would you suggest a hold or sell or replace with another, better etf, thanks
Q: What are your thoughts on including European and German exposure in portfolio? What % would you recommend. Are these etfs acceptable. Thanks.Shyam
Q: This one seems to me to fit the bill of investment in a good sector, investing in the U.S (supposedly a good place for the foreseeable future) and also taking advantage of US $ rising/ Cdn $ sinking. My finger is poised over the 'buy' button waiting for your advice. Thx, Art
Q: What are your thoughts on Prem Watsa's India Fund? He does seem to have a bit of home field advantage, not to mention his track record. Also would you consider a 6% overall India allocation to be excessive? (I currently hold ZEQ at almost 3% of my portfolio).
Q: What is your opinion of using a UVXY covered call strategy as an income-producing hedge against market downturns? One recent two week at-the-money call was worth 3%. (i.e. recent = last week, before yesterday's volatilty)
Q: would appreciate an update on CEW...
the lifeco's are on the rise but the banks are in the doldrums!
what is your outlook for the banks for the short term?
do you think it would be a good time to add to some more CEW to
portfolio (currently at about 2 1/2%)
many thanks - ed

Q: Further to Larry's question on Hack, it appears Pure Funds only has 2 very unique funds at this time (albeit with plans to add more). Should one be wary of investing in a new fund provider, especially one offering a non traditional product line-up. I like the idea of the Hack fund but am somewhat wary of Pure Funds unless they have a proven prior track record in the industry? How much of a concern should this be?
Q: Hi Peter and team:This ETF pulled back to 50 day moving average. Good entry point for some one with no Chinese equity exposure in his portfolio?
Q: Can you recommend a Japanese ETF that is hedged to the Canadian dollar? Is the Japanese market still a buy since it is at an 18 year record high?
Q: GOOD MORNING FOLKS,
WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO COMMENT ON THIS US CYBER SECURITY ETF PUT OUT BY PURE FUNDS ?
THANKS,
LARRY

Q: I am planning to add international equity exposure via US ETFs. Could you please recommend US-based ETFs for the following:
Broad US exposure (is there one that covers small and large cap or do I need two, like IWO and VFV?)
Broad world exposure (VXUS?)
Additional weight in China (FXI?)
Additional weight in India (?)
Additional weight in Japan (?)
If you see any concerns with this approach I'd would be interested to know. Also would be interested to know if you think Latin America would be underweighted in the above and if so, your recommendation on a US ETF. Thanks as always.

Q: Hi 5i:
I have not specifically bought any stocks as a play on US housing, but I'm thinking it may be time to do so. For possibilities I'm looking at Canadian lumber stocks, US home builders and US banks as sectors from which to chose. Do you have any advice? Of the US banks I've heard WFC suggested as the best housing play. Would you agree?

Q: Hi Team, I hold full positions in the above ETF's , do you think there is a bit of overlap between VV and VIG? If so , any recommended alternatives. Thanks for your expertise and wise counsel.
Q: Hello Team,
I am looking at the following healthcare related ETFS: ZUH, XPH, XHC. Can you please recommend which of these should be in a TFSA, RRSP and which should be outside a registered account. I would like your suggestion of other health care ETF in US$ suitable for a RRSP and if there is an ETF in CDN$ that is not hedged.
Thank You,
Joseph
