iShares Silver Bullion ETF (SVR.C $41.87)
-
BMO Gold Bullion ETF (ZGLD $71.27)
-
Sprott Physical Gold and Silver Trust Unit (CEF $50.70)
-
Sprott Critical Materials ETF (SETM $38.38)
Q: Could you please give the pluses and minuses of buying these two ETFs now? Do you two others in this space?
Thanks.
Thanks.
5i Research Answer:
SETM has a decent AUM of $613M, a somewhat high MER of 0.65%, and it trades at a slight premium to NAV (0.3%). CEF has a solid AUM of $9.7B, it trades at a deep discount of 5% to NAV and has a 0.46% MER.
For critical materials, we might prefer REMX, which has a slightly better MER and a much better AUM. For CEF, we might simply prefer an approach of buying both a gold and silver ETF separately, since the CEF ETF only holds two assets (60% gold and 40% silver). We like ZGLD and SVR.C.
