ABXX now has a market cap of above $1.5 billion and still essentially no revenue. It raised $31M last September. Up 308% in the past year, the stock has moved for several reasons, as follows:
Abaxx launched the first standardized futures contracts for liquefied natural gas (LNG) and carbon credits last summer, markets where no major exchange previously offered such contracts. This groundbreaking move has large strategic value and has helped increase trading volumes on their exchange, boosting investor confidence.
The company secured regulatory approvals and has spent several years preparing this new futures exchange infrastructure, which is based on blockchain technology. This unique offering positions Abaxx with a moat in a niche market segment, potentially attracting acquisition interest or a dominant market position.
Recently, Abaxx integrated its futures market data into TradingView, a popular trading platform used by over 100 million traders and investors globally. This expands visibility and access to its contracts, supporting higher market participation and liquidity.
Analysts have responded positively, with several rating the stock a buy and increasing its price target significantly in October 2025, reflecting expected growth from the expanding exchange business.
We do not deny that it has potential, but at its market cap expectations are really high. Insiders own about 14%. While most of the the above 'sounds' good, we really need to see some revenue traction, or, at least, positive cash flow. We would consider it highly speculative and too risky righ now.
