Q: Is XSHD a good medium to accumulate the money needed to withdraw from my RRIF at the end of 2026?
Would it be better to accumulate the required funds in a high-interest account?

5i Research Answer:

We think XSH would be quite acceptable for the goals noted in the question. It has done its job in proving decent, safe income with not a lot of volatility. Note there is some rate risk, but the average maturity on its holdings is 2.5 years, so rate leverage is not huge. We would be quite comfortable.
