NOU: Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. is a Canadian mineral development company specializing in the exploration, development, and production of high-purity natural graphite primarily for the electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage markets. Its flagship asset is the Matawinie graphite project located north of Montreal, Quebec, which is among the largest known high-grade natural graphite deposits globally. The company leverages Quebec's abundant renewable hydroelectric power and local mining expertise to advance this project toward commercial production. NOU has a demonstration plant in Quebec where it produces purified anode material, but not yet at scale. The stock has run on sector interest, but it is important to note it does not have any revenue yet, and has losses and negative cash flow (-$54M in 12 months). It does have about $50M cash. It has a solid group of large shareholders, including the Quebec Investment plan at 17%. It has potential, but it is a bit too early in its development for us to give it a strong endorsement.
