Q: Your comments please about this fund for global bond exposure in a diversified portfolio. Are there any ETF's that would be similar in scope and performance.

5i Research Answer:

MER is 1.63%, which of course is way high for a bond fund. It does have a 4-star rating. Ten-year return is not impressive at 1.21%. It lost money in 2018, 2021 and 2022. Five year return is slightly negative. We don't think it is a good fund. VGAB would be similar. Five year numbers are not great but the fee difference over time (VGAB is 0.33%) should help relative performance.
