Q: Olympia Financial's stock price has dropped about 15% since hitting an all-time high shortly after releasing their earnings in August. Do you know of any reason for the drop? Is it a buying opportunity?

5i Research Answer:

OLY remains up about 6% for the year, but down $20/share since August. But there has not been a single news item since the earnings release. The stock is very cheap and offers a nice dividend. We can't nail this one down. Its small size could be a factor, or, investors simply could be redeploying capital to more exciting sectors. We would be very comfortable holding.
