Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Do you have any near term concerns on adding to one's SOBO holdings? Are fundamentals and the outlook reasonably solid for this company, and the sector?

Avoiding one of those "why is my XXXXXX stock down today" questions, I will say that I have noticed over the last 6 months that the pipelines have been generally drifting lower. I am assuming this is just short term sentiment / sector rotation?

If all looks good to you, my intent was simply to add more SOBO at a favourable technical buy level.

5i Research Answer:

We haven't found any solid concrete explanations for the sector weakness, so we can only assume it is sector positioning, generally weak energy prices (even a war didn't help much), and/or investors' new love for growth and riskier assets. With rates set to fall, we might expect better things going forward for the sector. SOBO is about $4 off its high, but still up 5% for the year. We do not see any fundamental concerns here other than the usual market risks. We would be OK buying for income-focused investors.
