Q: I have a question about "asset decay" assuming the underlying stocks remain stable or rise modestly in value - why would the units fall? Is the income generated not from dividends and option premiums only?

5i Research Answer:

EMAX distributed $1.828 per unit in 2024. Of that, $0.85 was considered return of capital. There can be some tax variances, but generally speaking and in most case yes this can mean income earned was less than distributions. In 2024, unit value declined by 8.4%.
