BN and BAM just recently went through a series of transactions to simplify the corporate structure between the two entities.
As of December 31, 2024, BN owns: (the details can be found on BN’s annual report, page 175.)
- 45.6% of BEP.UN,
- 26.1% of BIP.UN,
- 41% of BBU.UN
- and an expected 73% in BAM (after the transactions finalize, which have been completed as of today).
After the transaction above is completed, BAM will now own 100% of the Asset Management business, which in turn has an interest in various asset management entities, including: (the details can be found on BAM’s annual report, pages 133 and 134.)
- 73% in Oaktree of $4.6 billion
- Interest in Castlelake of $538 million
- 49.9% economic interest in LCM Partner Group of $186 million
- 35% economic interest in Primary Wave of $147 million
- A number of general partner interests in our private funds and other various equity method investments.
