Q: My daughter’s RESP is underpinned by three broad-based ETF’s – VFV (30% of her portfolio) for US exposure and XIU and TTP (total 20% of portfolio) for Canadian exposure. She is a long-term holder of both Amazon and Nvidia (9 and 12% of the portfolio, respectively). After several sells (CSU, GSY among others) she has about 29% of her portfolio in cash. We would like to deploy the cash over the next little while. She will not be accessing the RESP funds for about 15 years so she has a long-term view. Given this situation, what Canadian and US stocks would you suggest we review? (note we are watching nvidia closely and will likely reduce it if it grows to be a larger portion of the portfolio). Thanks for the help.
