  • In the first quarter of 2026, Apple (AAPL) reported an EPS of $2.84 and revenue of $143.8 billion, both above expectations. Revenue grew about 16% year-over-year, driven by record iPhone sales that grew 23% and healthy service revenue.
  • Canadian National Railway (CNR) reported Q4-2025 results with adjusted EPS of about C$2.08 and revenue of C$4.46 billion, roughly in line with forecasts. EPS was up year-over-year, and the company showed modest revenue growth as it continued to experience the effects of tariffs.

  • Anthropic—the developer of the Claude family of AI models—released a legal plugin for its “Claude Cowork” application, designed to automate contract review, compliance workflows, legal briefings, and more. This has put significant pressure on software stocks such as Thomson Reuters Corporation (TRI) and Constellation Software (CSU).
