The three main U.S. indexes climbed to record-highs for the fourth day in a row on Thursday, fuelled by gains in technology stocks. TransCanada (TRP) announced that it has scrapped its Energy East Pipeline and Eastern Mainline projects amid regulatory hurdles. TransCanada expects an estimated $1B after-tax, non-cash charge to be recorded in the fourth quarter. MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) closed its $4.7 billion acquisition of U.S. satellite imagery company DigitalGlobe (DGI), creating an integrated space technology company serving both commercial and government customers. DHX Media (DHX.B) says it has launched a review of strategic alternatives including the possible sale of all or part of the company. Here are five stories we found interesting this week:

  1. Commodity investing isnt for the ‘faint of heart’
  2. A fresh look at asset class performance
  3. Beware these cryptocurrency companies
  4. The Electrical Vehicle market over the next five years

  5. Some motivation for RESP households
