Q: Hi 5i, and would welcome your review of the recent Quarterly results from Twilio, and whether you would consider it as a buy/ hold/ or sell. Do you see any red flags or concerns with the future business prospects or in achieving their march to eventual profitability, and the merits as a long-term hold and any competitive advantage that they may hold in the space they operate in? Thanks kindly.

Q: Hello 5i,
Given that interest rates appear to have peaked, please rank the above list for:
1. Growth only
2. Your buying preference.
Thank you

Q: Do these 4 companies have the cash/cash flow to finance their current debt obligations? None of the companies are profitable I am concerned that they may not be able to raise the cash needed to fund operations in the current environment of rising interest rates, such that they may not be able to handle any debt due over the next year or two.

Q: Hi team ,
I am holding onto smaller positions of the following names which I am down huge on : Sq, Twlo, Apps. I have held these through the tech wreck riding them to the ground. My question is do I keep holding onto them at this point waiting for more recovery , or do I consolidate them and buy a different position? If they are sells, what would be your most promising names to buy today? Some I were looking at were Ats, Crox , Bn. Thanks .

Q: Hi there, I have EDGE and curious about XEXP. I know you don't normally go for new / low AUM ETFs but could you provide some analysis on whether you might make the switch from EDGE to the new Blackrock fund? I think hoping to get your thoughts as follows (charge multiple questions if warranted):

1. please compare the two products ignoring the differences in track record / AUM

2. If an investor likes XEXP better from a product design perspective, when might you be comfortable moving in (6 months and 100m AUM? less, more?)

Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter,

It seems the market wants to take a breather what with inflation being sticky- makes me hesitant to put in new money?

Would you be a buyer of TWLO after today's price surge or wait for it to settle (and maybe miss the boat)? How would you compare it to CRWD as far as the return on investment is concerned? I have been using CRWD as a benchmark for comparison of risky growth stocks. Do you think that is a reasonably fair and quick method to evaluate ?

Q: Hello 5i,
I own all the above stocks and have ridden them up and down in this market, so my risk tolerance is fairly high.
Could rank them for future growth and survivability? Also, If I were to consolidate the five into two or three what might you recommend?
Thank you
Dave

Q: Hi Team,
For this question I will reference TWLO, and Unity but really this is more of a general question. Unity used to be a past favorite. Now it seems, that 5i and the rest of the investment world is so negative on it. I am an investor in both these names and have been killed on them so far. Both were bought with a long term view in mind and both were considered at one time to be at the "heart" of future tech in their niche. Unity with the 3-D tech in gaming and other applications, twlo with its digital communication of things. Has this story really changed? Is it worth dumping these names now after 80% haircuts? In 10 years will we look back and say, Dam! Why was I selling these names and not buying? (oil stocks 2 years ago) . I note that Cathy Woods continues to buy both Unity and Twlo almost daily. Today she loaded up after Twlos big sell off. Same with Draft Kings. If she's buying them they must be considered on the forefront of future tech according to their firm. Not sure what her credibility is like these days due to the downturn, but at one time I thought her research was pretty good. Shes doing pretty much the opposite of the market right now. Who will be right in the end? It seems she will either be a hero at the end of this, or her funds will be toast one of the two. The market is a brutal place right now in the Tech sector and very frustrating. It's painful to watch the same analysts now dumping names where only a year or 2 ago they were praising the companies as innovators and pumping them for their future prospects in a growing digital world. It's not a wonder why people get to hate the stock market and trust no advisers. Some say big firms on wall street almost orchestrate this kind of thing, flushing out the little guy scooping up their shares so they can buy them on the cheap, knowing down the road they will make a killing when momentum shifts. (Conspiracy maybey, but sure seems to happen this way over time). Your thoughts on things as a whole would be appreciated. Thanks!

Shane.

Q: I believe it is rare to see a “double downgrade” on a stock, as BoA recently did for TWLO. I like the business and see the need overall for Twilio’s communication platform growing exceedingly valuable. So with this massive post earnings drop, is this an opportunity to pick up additional shares to hold long term, or conversely a need to sell?

Thank you as always and apologies for an unintended recent duplicate message.

Q: Hello 5i!
At this point in the cycle can you please rate the following as buy, sell or hold. I know you sometimes say in a different kind of market high growth can do well. Can you please comment on whether one should decrease technology holdings in general or just wait for tech to shine again one day. Thank you!

Q: I am restructuring a non-registered account to be more defensive, and less tech heavy. All of the following US stocks are down: APPS, OKTA, PYPL, PLTR, SE, TTD, MRVL, TWLO, U, VEEV. Do you consider them a sell or hold?
Thanks.

Q: My daughter opened her first TFSA a few years ago. She is planning on using it to save for retirement, so has a very long time horizon. She has 25% in ZSP (S&P 500 ETF) and 15% in XIT (Canadian technology ETF). Together we chose some fun stocks to complete her portfolio. We are happy with most of our picks – Disney (DIS), Crowdstrike (CRWD), Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Snowflake (SNOW) and CN Rail (CN). But we are wondering about four – Twilio (TWLO), Etsy (ESTY), Paypal (PYPL) and Upstart (UPST). All have dropped since she bought, but what do you think of the longer term potential of these? Would you swap any out? If so, for what?

Thanks,
Kim

Q: Hi,
I’m thinking of doing some tax loss selling. Can you suggest proxies for the following companies: Roku, Trade Desk, Twilio, Unity Software and Zoom Video.

Would you also be able to suggest an ETF that would serve as a proxie for all of them? I’m thinking of a high-growth-stock ETF like the SPYG.

Thanks

Q: What do you think of twilio's downside from here? Is it a company that that you like once the tech market's calm down. Where do you think the long term upside potential for this company is? What are the pros and cons of this stock, concerning the market they are in and where they rank in it, the financial ratios, insider buying/selling ? Would you consider it a buy, hold or sell at this time? Is this and will this be a dominant player? Thanks
