5i Research Answer:

VGT has an MER of 0.1% while QQQ has an MER of 0.2%. VGT benchmarks to the MSCI US Investable IT Market while QQQ benchmarks to the Nasdaq 100. VGT has a bit higher concentration in the larger names. VGT is also focused on tech specifically while Nasdaq holds companies in a few different sectors. A an example VGT does not hold AMZN while QQQ does. They are a bit different due to the benchmarks, so the decisions here is a bit related to whether wants more of a pure tech exposure through VGT or not. We would probably side with QQQ though, for a bit better diversification and less concentration.

VFV and VGRO are quite different. VFV bencharks to the S&P 500 (US Equity index) while VGRO is diversified across geographies (US, Canada, Japan, etc.) and even holds some bond exposure. If looking for growth, we would probably side with VFV but they are hard to compare as VGRO offers more of a portfolio solution and is a bit more balanced across exposures and asset classes.
